Corsetry Update - Part 1

So, after completely revisiting the way that I have been assembling the corsets I've made, I've finally found what I imagine to be the best of both worlds for the whole shebang.  A combination of boning types, lining types, and foundation fabrics is leading me in the direction of what might just be the best thing I've made so far.  Stay tuned for more updates.

Steampunk Courtesan - Part 1

Every now and then I get a project that pulls together a myriad of different experiences, and this one is no different.  It's going to involve netting, corsetry, leather working, metalworking, and who knows what else.  I've decided to get the shape first, then consider the design, so fittings are coming first and fast with this project, stay tuned for more.

MewKat Cosplay Project - Part 1

My friend Kat asked me if I could give her a hand with a Cosplay Lolita costume, and I figured I had some free time, so why not.  Here's the rough sketches I came up with for the idea, I've got one more fitting to get out of the way before I get to cutting the real deal.  More on that later.

She's a fan of a particular pocket monster, so we based as much as we could off of that little pink blob, the rest was just a matter of incorporating the traditional elements from the dress.  We had our first mockup fitting last month, and I'm getting a second ready to put in the mail.  As I'm about 400 miles from her, it makes things a little more challenging, but she's awesome, and totally worth the trouble.
